Class Descriptions

 

 

 

Gentle Stretch Class:  The focus of this class is stress release and gentle stretching.  The class consists of simple breathing exercises, with warm-ups, Kriyas and simple postures.  This class is appropriate for students new to Yoga, students with injuries and older adults.  This class is intended to be relaxing and nurturing to your body.  All Level Yoga Class

Hatha Yoga Class:  This class is led with a balance of stretching and strengthening, it is intended to have an internal focus.  Several Pranayamas (breathing exercises) will be used to create your internal focus.  Kriyas (continuous motion) are followed by postures.  Postures will be led with longer holding time and a focus on deep breathing.  This class is most appropriate for students who have learned the basic postures and comfortable doing them with their eyes closed. 

Yoga Workout Class: This class is predominately an athletic class.  This class is designed in a vinyasa flow to build energy and carry the energy from one posture to the next. This workout builds heat and energizes your body. Intermediate yoga class

 Vinyasa Yoga Class: Move with fluid movement to link the poses through sun salutations, balance, twists and inversions.  Using the breath to create rhythm, focus and body awareness.  This is a vigorous yoga class designed to energize and detoxify the body while calming the mind and the spirit. Intermediate Yoga class

Yoga and Relaxation: Gentle stretch class followed by a Yoga Nidra, Yoga sleep.  Yoga Nidra helps to turn off the the day's stress and move into a more balanced and relaxed state.

Restorative  Yoga : Soothe your soul in this restorative class! Restorative yoga blends moving meditations and bliss producing restorative poses, typically done on the floor with lots of supportive props coupled with soothing music &

aromatherapy to help the body release. Restorative poses are an important part of any long-term yoga practice: they recharge our energy reserves, heal the effects of stress, and bring our nervous systems into a more balanced state. This class will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed.
